Yesterday, a part of me got on an airplane

in search of self, of meaning, of reason

I ventured into the waters of uncertainty certain of one thing;

nothing’s ever promised tomorrow

Today, a part of me resides in moving buses

catering to fellow travelers

I navigate these tedious roads worried about one thing;

nothing’s ever promised tomorrow

Tomorrow, a part of me will rest along the road

helping homesick people appreciate the breeze of travel

I will linger in rusty headstones reiterating one truth;
